Odisha govt gives final extension for property statements submission to November 30
Bhubaneswar, Sept 12: The Odisha government has extended the deadline for government employees to file their property statements for the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, via the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) portal until November 30, 2024.
Sashank Sekhar Dash, Additional Secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, informed senior officials, including Revenue Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, and District Magistrates, about the extension.
The extension was granted after the department noted that many employees had not yet submitted their annual property returns. The notification emphasized that this extension serves as a final opportunity for those who have missed the previous deadlines.
The Additional Secretary has directed officials to ensure that all employees under their jurisdiction comply with this updated deadline. The Odisha Government Servants’ Conduct (Amendment) Rule, 2021, requires government employees, from Group A to Group D, to declare their assets, including movable and immovable property, by January 31 of the following year. The initial deadline of January 31, 2024, was previously extended to February 29 and then to March 16.
