Odisha Government to launch mobile app for easy access to revenue certificates

Bhubaneswar, June 9: In a significant step toward enhancing public service delivery, the Odisha government is preparing to launch a dedicated mobile application to help citizens—especially students—obtain important certificates from the Revenue Department without visiting government offices. This initiative aims to simplify access to documents such as caste, income, and residence certificates through online mode.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, speaking to the media on Sunday, stated that the app will allow users to apply for certificates directly from their homes. “People will no longer have to travel long distances or wait in long queues at Sahaj Jan Seva Kendras or Tehsil offices. The app will provide an easy, accessible, and efficient alternative,” he said.

The mobile application will also include features for online application submission, fee payment, and document downloads. Once the certificates are processed, they will be uploaded to the app, allowing users to download and print them at their convenience.

Minister Pujari added that each application will be time-stamped with the date and purpose, and detailed guidelines will be issued to ensure timely processing. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to digital governance and citizen-centric service.
