Odisha government affirms rollout of Subhadra Yojana within 100 days

Bhubaneswar, July 3: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida reaffirmed on Tuesday that the Subhadra Yojana, a flagship initiative promised by the BJP Government, will be implemented within 100 days of the new government's formation.

"The Prime Minister will inaugurate the scheme on September 17 during his visit to Odisha on his birthday. The State government will issue a formal notification. It's important for the public to disregard any misinformation circulating on this matter," stated Deputy Chief Minister Parida, who oversees the Women and Child Welfare portfolio.

The Subhadra Yojana, pledged by the BJP, aims to provide Rs 50,000 cash vouchers to women upon the government's establishment, which occurred on June 12. Plans are underway to introduce the scheme within the stipulated timeframe.

Earlier, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had also confirmed the launch of the eagerly anticipated initiative on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and the commencement of Seva Saptah. The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the state for the scheme's rollout in the presence of women, as stated by the Chief Minister.
