August 19 and 26 public grievance hearings of CM cancelled for festivals
Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: The public grievance hearings originally scheduled for August 19 and August 26 have been postponed due to upcoming government holidays, as announced by the Department of General Administration and Public Grievance on Friday.
The department stated that the new dates for these hearings will be announced shortly through newspapers and public notices.
The decision to reschedule is attributed to the importance of Rakhi Purnima on August 19 and Janmashtami on August 26. Rakhi Purnima, celebrated as a festival honoring the bond between brothers and sisters, and Janmashtami, marking the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, are major holidays in Odisha.
It is also important to note that the Chief Minister’s public grievance hearings, which began on July 1, are held every Monday. However, the grievance cell was closed for two weeks last month due to the Chief Minister’s visit to New Delhi and the Odisha assembly session.
