Odisha Cabinet clears seven proposals to boost development

Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: The 24th meeting of the Odisha State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, was convened at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan. Following the session, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja addressed the media, outlining the major decisions taken during the deliberations.

A total of seven proposals from six departments received the Cabinet’s nod. These include the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, Cooperative Department, Finance Department, Housing and Urban Development Department, Commerce and Transport Department, and Health and Family Welfare Department. Each proposal aims to strengthen governance, improve public services, and boost socio-economic growth across the state.

The meeting reaffirmed the government’s focus on both cultural preservation and modern infrastructure development. While specific details of the approved proposals will be implemented in the coming months, the decisions are expected to impact sectors ranging from public health to urban planning.

In recent months, the Cabinet has approved several landmark projects, such as the construction of the Baitarani Left and Right Bank Canal and the expansion of the Emergency Medical Ambulance Services scheme.
