NLUO lecturer found dead at Cuttack home; police probe ongoing

Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: The body of Ananya Chakraborty, a female lecturer at National Law University, Odisha (NLUO), was discovered at her rented residence in CDA Sector-9, Cuttack on Monday. Ananya, originally from West Bengal, had been employed at NLUO for nearly two years.
Reports indicate that her body was found in a locked room; the police had to force entry to access the scene. Ananya had not been attending the university recently, and after failing to respond to repeated calls, NLUO officials contacted the police.
Upon arrival, the police broke open the door to her rented house and found her body. The body has been sent to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for an autopsy. Her family has been notified of her passing.
The exact cause of Ananya's death remains unclear, and it is uncertain whether it was the result of foul play or self-harm. The police are currently investigating the matter.
