Narendra Modi marks birthday with Gruha Prabesha ceremony of PM Awas beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today celebrated his 74th birthday by inaugurating the ‘Gruha Prabesha’ (housewarming) ceremony for beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana in the Shabara Sahi area of Gadakana, Bhubaneswar.
Traditional Odia customs marked the PM's arrival, with residents warmly greeting him. At a beneficiary’s home, PM Modi savored the local dish 'Khiri' and took part in worshiping Lord Jagannath.
During his visit, PM Modi engaged with the beneficiaries, inquiring about their economic conditions and the impact of various government schemes. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi was also present for the occasion.
The Prime Minister urged everyone to participate in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (plant a tree in the name of Mother) initiative. His arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport was met with a large, enthusiastic crowd who lined the streets to celebrate his birthday. Despite the rain, people turned out in large numbers, holding placards, singing, and dancing to show their support and wish him a happy birthday.
Special Odia sweets like ‘Rasagola’ were offered to PM Modi, and many expressed their delight at his visit. “It’s a great day to see our esteemed Prime Minister here with us. We wish him a long and healthy life,” said one local resident. Another remarked on their excitement about starting a small business with support from the Subhadra Yojana.
