Bhubaneswar duo arrested for impersonating PM's Principal Secretary's family

Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: The Infocity police in Bhubaneswar have arrested two individuals, Anil Kumar Mohanty and Hansita Abhilipsa, for allegedly impersonating as the son-in-law and daughter of P. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India.
The arrests followed the receipt of confidential information regarding their fraudulent activities, leading to the registration of case number 611/24 on December 26.
During the investigation, witnesses were examined, confirming the allegations against the duo. Anil Kumar Mohanty and Hansita Abhilipsa were apprehended on December 29, 2024, and subsequently presented in court, facing charges under sections 329(3), 319(2), 318(4), and 3(5) of the BNS.
The police are continuing their investigation to uncover any further details related to this case. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant against similar fraudulent activities, emphasizing the importance of verifying identities, especially when involving prominent officials.
