Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit Odisha on May 10–11

Bhubaneswar, May 2: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to begin a two-day visit to Odisha from May 10, during which he will attend key programs, launch several developmental initiatives, and address a major public meeting in Bhubaneswar.

The visit, which holds significant political weight ahead of upcoming elections, was confirmed by Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal on Friday.

As per the schedule, Shah will land in Bhubaneswar on May 10 and travel directly to Jatni, where he will lay the foundation stone for a new campus of the National Forensic Science University. The project aims to enhance the state’s capabilities in criminal justice and forensic science education.

Later that evening, Shah will head to Puri to offer prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple. On May 11, he will visit Sambalpur to launch a series of infrastructure projects supported by the central government. These projects are expected to spur regional growth and generate employment.

Shah will conclude his visit with a large public gathering at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, where he will also unveil more development projects and engage with party workers and the public. The visit is seen as a significant push for BJP’s outreach and development agenda in Odisha.
