Minor girl allegedly gang-raped in Bhubaneswar; three suspects arrested

Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: In a deeply troubling case, a minor girl in Bhubaneswar’s Nayapalli area was allegedly gang-raped by four individuals who also recorded the crime. The accused reportedly used the video to demand money from the girl’s mother, threatening to make it public if their demands were not met.

Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra reported that Nayapalli Police have so far arrested three suspects. According to sources, a female acquaintance of the victim allegedly led her to the accused, who then spiked her drink and assaulted her.

Following the incident, Nayapalli Police launched an urgent investigation, forming a special team to handle the case. All suspects, including the female acquaintance, were detained for questioning, with three arrests made so far. The victim has undergone a medical examination, and further investigation is underway to gather additional evidence.
