Bhubaneswar, March 1: Union Health Minister and BJP National President J.P. Nadda wrapped up his two-day visit to Odisha after holding discussions with senior state BJP leaders.

During his visit, Nadda had a closed-door meeting on Friday with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha BJP in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, and organisational secretary Manas Mohanty. Sources indicate that the discussions focused on party affairs, including the upcoming selection of the state BJP president.

Following his interactions with party leaders, Nadda also met Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at Raj Bhavan, accompanied by the Chief Minister. Later, he visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri, where he expressed his reverence. "Praying at the Jagannath Temple always gives me strength to serve society. I have sought blessings for our party to continue working towards a 'Viksit Bharat' under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership," he told reporters.

Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal clarified that Nadda’s visit was primarily for an official engagement, and discussions at the state guest house were informal. The selection process for the state BJP president remains ongoing, with party leaders assuring that an announcement will be made soon.
