Jilted lover arrested for leaking intimate videos of woman in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Dec 14: In a disturbing case of revenge porn, a man was arrested in Jajpur, Odisha, for allegedly circulating intimate videos of a woman after their relationship ended.

The woman had filed a complaint at Banki Police Station on November 14, accusing Amiya Chakra of sharing private video clips without her consent. According to her statement, Chakra had promised to marry her, leading to a live-in relationship. However, he repeatedly postponed the marriage, causing distress to the woman. When she insisted on an early marriage, he refused and instead, allegedly posted their intimate videos, which he had secretly recorded.

Frustrated by the lack of action from local authorities, the woman approached the Cuttack Rural Superintendent of Police. After tracking the accused’s phone number, police were able to arrest Chakra in Jajpur on Friday night.

This case follows a similar incident in Sambalpur, where a man, Ashish Padhy, was arrested for posting explicit videos of a married woman. The Cyber Police had also tracked him down and made the arrest.
