IMFA welcomes Saunak Gupta as CFO amid expansion and growth plans

Bhubaneswar, March 10: Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India’s leading ferro alloys producer, has appointed Saunak Gupta as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following the retirement of Prem Khandelwal, who served as CFO & Company Secretary for two decades.
Saunak Gupta, a seasoned finance professional with 26 years of experience, is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, and Cost Accountant. He has previously worked with Blue Star, Wipro, Berger Paints, and PwC, handling key financial operations, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic tie-ups. Gupta joined IMFA as Deputy CFO in 2023 and played a crucial role in achieving the company’s financial objectives, leading to his promotion.
IMFA’s Managing Director, Subhrakant Panda, praised Gupta’s contribution, stating, “In a short time, he has influenced both finance and strategic priorities. I am confident in his ability to drive IMFA’s growth.” He also acknowledged Prem Khandelwal’s pivotal leadership over the years.
On his appointment, Gupta stated that IMFA’s strong balance sheet and expansion plans position it for significant growth. His focus will be on long-term strategic initiatives to enhance value for stakeholders.
