Crude bomb attack at Bhubaneswar engineering college injures students

Bhubaneswar, Sept 22: Unidentified individuals hurled crude bombs at a private engineering college under Airfield police limits in Bhubaneswar, creating panic in the area on Saturday night. Reports suggest that several students were injured in the attack.

While the exact motive behind the bombing is still unclear, early investigations indicate that it may be linked to a long-standing rivalry between two student groups—one from Odisha and the other from Bihar. The tension between the groups escalated on Saturday night, leading to the violent incident.

The bombs were thrown as a group of students was boarding a bus outside their hostel. Following the attack, one of the student groups filed an FIR at the Airfield police station. Authorities have since launched a probe to identify the culprits and determine the cause of the conflict.
