SOA women workforce honoured with Femina Women Achievers’ Award 2025

Bhubaneswar, July 28: The women workforce of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University have been honoured with the prestigious Femina Women Achievers’ Award 2025, recognizing their remarkable contributions in education and healthcare.

At an award ceremony held on Saturday, July 26, SOA received two distinguished awards from Femina, a leading women’s magazine. The university was conferred with the ‘Excellence in Educational Leadership’ award, highlighting its commitment to academic excellence and leadership.

Several senior women academicians of SOA were felicitated, including Prof. Neeta Mohanty, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Manjula Das, Controller of Examinations; Prof. Ruchi Bhuyan, Dean, Institute of Dental Sciences; Prof. Pravati Tripathy, Director, SUM Nursing College; and Prof. Debahuti Mishra, Head of Computer Science at ITER, among others.

Additionally, the women employees of SOA Group of Hospitals were awarded ‘Outstanding Contribution to Women Empowerment in Education and Healthcare’. Notable honorees included Pratima Routray, Chief Facilitating Officer; Dr. Jasmin Panda, Head of SOA Pharmacy; and Minati Mishra, Nursing Superintendent, among others.

Prof. Gayatribala Panda, Head of PRACHIN, was also specially recognized for her excellence in literature.

The event celebrated women achievers across diverse fields including education, healthcare, science, literature, art, sports, fashion, social work, and media. Bollywood actor Amol Parashar graced the occasion as chief guest and presented the awards.

Dignitaries present included Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, SNM Group Chairman Pradipta Mohanty, and Femina Managing Editor Primrose Monterio D’Souza, among others.
