Odisha to roll out CM Kisan Yojana with enhanced benefits for farmers

Bhubaneswar, Aug 28: The Odisha government will soon introduce the CM Kisan Yojana, which will replace the current KALIA scheme, with the goal of more effectively supporting farmers. Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo, who oversees Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, provided this update to the state Assembly on Wednesday.

In response to a question from BJP MLA Manas Kumar Dutta regarding the government's farmer welfare initiatives, the Deputy Chief Minister detailed the new flagship program's implementation plans.

The CM Kisan Yojana will provide small and marginal farmers with ₹4,000 annually, distributed in two phases of ₹2,000 each. Additionally, landless farmers will receive ₹12,500 in three phases from the state government.

Farmers interested in benefiting from the new scheme will need to register on the CM Kisan web portal.
