Odisha targets ₹5 lakh crore investments at Make in Odisha Conclave

Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: The Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled for January 28-29 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar, will bring together prominent business leaders, including Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, Karan Adani, and TV Narendran. The summit aims to drive Odisha’s vision of becoming a global industrial hub while contributing to India’s aspirations for Viksit Bharat 2047.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event on January 28, alongside Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw. Over 7,500 delegates, including 100+ international participants from 20+ countries, are expected to attend. The state government anticipates securing investments worth ₹5 lakh crore.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain described the conclave as a "transformative journey" showcasing Odisha's industrial potential. Partner countries like Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia will spearhead discussions, with delegations from Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, and more fostering global collaboration.
Key sessions will focus on Start-Up Odisha, Skilled in Odisha, and Women Entrepreneurship, supported by SUBHADRA. CEO and Women Leadership Roundtables will enable strategic dialogues. The Make in Odisha Expo, featuring 150 exhibitors, will highlight innovative solutions and open to the public on January 30.
Cultural programs by Odisha Dance Academy and a medley by the Culture Department, alongside spectacular drone shows, will celebrate Odisha’s heritage. The conclave will also spotlight emerging sectors such as technical textiles, specialty metals, green energy, and the circular economy, aligning with the state’s commitment to sustainable growth and global partnerships.
