Odisha sets plans in motion to adopt National Education Policy by 2025

Bhubaneswar, Nov 27: The Odisha government is preparing to roll out the National Education Policy (NEP) in schools across the state by 2025, following its adoption in higher education. School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond shared this update on Wednesday, outlining a series of measures aimed at ensuring a smooth implementation of the policy in all schools.
A special task force has been set up to oversee the process, supported by six sub-committees tasked with providing targeted recommendations. Once these sub-committees submit their feedback, the task force will make the final recommendations and forward them to the state government for implementation.
Addressing concerns about teacher shortages, Gond assured that the government is actively working to fill vacancies. He emphasized that efforts are being made to meet all necessary requirements in the education sector to enhance quality. The government remains committed to fulfilling the needs for educational reform and ensuring the successful integration of NEP into the school system.
