Luxury car seized from con woman Hansita Abhilipsa in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Jan 10: The Commissionerate Police have confiscated a luxury vehicle belonging to Hansita Abhilipsa, a con artist accused of swindling wealthy individuals out of crores by pretending to be related to influential bureaucrats and leaders. The high-end car, valued at over Rs 60 lakh, was recovered during a raid at a luxury apartment complex in Bhubaneswar, where Hansita and her associate Anil Mohanty were residing.

Sources indicate that the seizure occurred after Hansita could not provide adequate information regarding the car, including its purchase date and location. Following their one-day police remand, both Hansita and Anil were returned to custody, while the Income Tax (I-T) department continued its search at their residence.

Reports reveal that Hansita owns three flats in the upscale Z1 apartments in Bhubaneswar, where she lived with Anil, who has also been arrested. During the ongoing investigation, police and I-T officials uncovered several significant documents at the property. Additionally, Hansita's husband, Saroj Sahu, was apprehended by the I-T department, and a Congress leader named Manoj, along with his family members, was interrogated as part of the investigation.
