Raids reveal significant assets of Additional Civil Supplies Officer in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: Odisha Vigilance officials today uncovered a substantial cache of assets linked to Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Civil Supplies Officer of Kendrapada, during coordinated raids at five locations.
The searches, authorized by the Hon'ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, targeted properties in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Kendrapada.
The raids revealed significant assets, including two buildings, two plots of land, and financial deposits estimated at around Rs 1 crore. Among the findings are a double-storey building of approximately 5,600 sq ft in Lingipur, Bhubaneswar, another building in Kalani Nagar, Madhupatna, Cuttack, and two plots in prominent areas of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Additional assets discovered include mutual fund deposits worth about Rs 1 crore, cash totaling Rs 1.21 lakh, a Maruti Swift car, and two motorcycles. A locker in the name of Mohapatra’s spouse at SBI Main Branch, Cuttack, remains unopened. The valuation and assessment of the properties are ongoing, and the searches are still continuing. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
