PM Modi to address public meeting in Jharsuguda on September 27

Bhubaneswar, Sept 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jharsuguda on September 27, where he will address a massive public meeting at Amalipali in the district. The event is expected to draw a crowd of nearly one lakh people, making it one of the largest gatherings in the region this year.
In anticipation, the district administration has launched intensive preparations. Senior officials, including Northern Revenue Commissioner Sachin Ramachandra Yadav and District Collector Kunal Mothiram Chavan, have inspected the venue and held detailed review meetings. Key focus areas include security arrangements, traffic management, medical facilities, and crowd control measures.
To ensure smooth coordination, the District Collector has cancelled all leaves of district-level officers until the Prime Minister’s visit and instructed them to remain on high alert. Departments have been assigned specific responsibilities, and work is already underway, including erection of tents, stage preparation, and deployment of manpower.
It may be recalled that PM Modi’s proposed visit to Berhampur was cancelled earlier due to a low-pressure system. With the IMD forecasting heavy rain on September 27, authorities are taking extra precautions to minimize any disruptions to the event.
