Pannu's threat to DGP conference in Bhubaneswar traced to Canada

Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: The Odisha Police's Crime Branch has traced the source of a threatening email sent to journalists regarding the annual DGP-IGP Conference in Bhubaneswar to Canada.
Authorities confirmed on Tuesday that the email, which included an audio clip purportedly from Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, was investigated by analyzing the IP address associated with it. The audio message, recorded with an application, also originated from abroad. Officials stated that there is no connection to any individuals in Odisha concerning the threat.
In their investigation, the Special Task Force of the Crime Branch has contacted Google to obtain further details about the threatening messages.
The 59th DGP-IGP Conference, which took place from November 29 to December 1, was attended by high-profile figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, and other senior security officials.
Reports indicate that the domain used by Pannun, who holds dual citizenship in the United States and Canada, was registered just two days before the threatening email was sent.
