Odisha’s Subhadra Yojana applications now available at Jana Seva Kendras

Bhubaneswar, Sept 4: The Odisha government has officially launched the application process for the Subhadra Yojana, its flagship scheme aimed at women’s welfare. As of Wednesday, application forms are available at Anganwadi centres and Jana Seva Kendras throughout the state.

Applicants need to submit their completed forms at the nearest Jana Seva Kendra. There, officials will verify and upload the forms using the Aadhaar number onto the newly introduced Subhadra portal, and a receipt will be provided.

With approximately 35,000 Jana Seva Kendras across Odisha, these centres are responsible for biometric authentication and e-KYC. They have been prepared to ensure the smooth collection of forms.

Due to reports of women lining up at block offices to update their Aadhaar cards, officials have clarified that authentication can also be done through mobile numbers, biometrics (fingerprint/iris), or face recognition.

Women have been seen gathering at Anganwadi centres to collect their forms. The scheme, set to launch on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, September 17, aims to benefit over 1 crore women. The first installment of the scheme will also be distributed starting that day.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that detailed information about the scheme will be available on the online portal, subhadra.odisha.gov.in. She emphasized that there is no fee for the offline application form and submission. For any queries, applicants can call the Subhadra toll-free number 14678.
