Odisha welcomes new electric double-decker buses ahead of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: As the state prepares for the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, two new electric double-decker buses have arrived in Odisha from Mumbai. These vibrant orange buses are adorned with intricate designs that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Odisha, making them a visual delight.

The artwork on the buses prominently features iconic landmarks, including the Konark Sun Temple wheel and the Dhauli stupa, highlighting the state's historical significance.

The journey of the two double-decker buses spanned approximately 400 kilometers before they reached their new home in Odisha. In anticipation of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, which will be held on January 8, the state government plans to conduct trial runs of the buses to ensure their functionality and readiness for public use.

This initiative aligns with Odisha's commitment to promoting cleaner transportation options while simultaneously celebrating the state’s diverse cultural history during the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.
