H&UD Minister's visit sparks immediate infrastructure repairs in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, July 17: Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Minister of the H & UD department, recently visited various areas within the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), prompting immediate and significant actions. Following his directives, officials quickly began repair works, particularly in the Laxmi Sagar area, where street lights were restored and are now fully operational.
Addressing public demands, the Minister prioritized urgent road repairs near the Fishery Tank. The BMC's engineering team, along with dedicated masons, laborers, and machinery, are actively engaged in laying WMM (wet mix macadam) for durable repairs. Approximately 400-500 meters of road are set to be completed overnight.
During his visit, Dr. Mahapatra inspected various water bodies under BMC's jurisdiction. He was accompanied by Mayor Sulochana Das, MLA Babu Singh, local leader Shri Jagannatha Pradhan, BMC Commissioner Shri Rajesh Pravakar Patil, BDA VC Shri Balwant Singh, local corporators, and community members. According to sources, the Minister has also followed up with BMC authorities regarding the progress of these works.
Dr. Mahapatra's proactive approach has spurred the BMC into swift action, showcasing a strong responsiveness to community needs and infrastructure maintenance in Bhubaneswar.
