Bhubaneswar, June 11: In a significant boost to Odisha’s global connectivity, direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Abu Dhabi are set to commence from Thursday under the Building Management of Aviation Assets and Network (B-MAAN) initiative. Operated by IndiGo Airlines, the new route will offer non-stop flights thrice a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

This international route is expected to strengthen tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between Odisha and the Gulf region. According to the airline’s schedule, the flight will depart from Bhubaneswar at 9:35 AM IST and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 12:35 PM local time. The return leg will depart Abu Dhabi at 2:35 AM and reach Bhubaneswar at 8:35 AM IST, with a flight duration of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Introductory one-way fares are set at ₹12,685 from Bhubaneswar to Abu Dhabi, with return fares starting at ₹16,132. Tickets for the early flights are reportedly witnessing high demand.

With the launch of this new route, Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport is now connected to four international destinations—Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Singapore, and Bangkok—and 20 domestic cities, including new links to Indore, Dehradun, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Kochi since January.
