Odisha’s Ritika Rath shines in UPSC CSE 2024, secures AIR 48

Bhubaneswar, April 22: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday announced the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024, bringing cheer to aspirants across the country. Among them, Odisha’s Ritika Rath stood out by securing All India Rank (AIR) 48, emerging as the state topper.

Ritika, an alumnus of SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, completed her Class X in 2017. Her remarkable success has earned her a place in the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), making Odisha proud.

This year, a total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various central services including IAS, Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Group A and B.

The rigorous examination process began with the Preliminary Examination on June 16, 2024, followed by the Main Examination from September 20 to 29, and concluded with interviews held between January 7 and April 17, 2025.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is widely regarded as one of India’s toughest and most prestigious competitive exams, selecting the nation's top administrative minds to serve the country.
