Odisha Vision initiative gains momentum with insights from 3 lakh residents

Bhubaneswar, Dec 15: The Odisha government's Vision 2036 & 2047 initiative has reached a significant milestone, gathering input from over 3 lakh citizens across the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed gratitude to all contributors, stating, "Thank you, Odisha, for providing valuable insights to help shape the state's future." Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also extended their appreciation, highlighting the importance of collective effort in building a prosperous and inclusive Odisha.

The citizen inputs cover 17 key thematic areas aimed at driving sustainable and inclusive growth. These focus areas include:

•Agriculture & Rural Development: Promoting climate-smart agriculture, improving irrigation systems, and strengthening market linkages.

•Sustainable Mining Practices: Ensuring environmental sustainability and prioritizing the welfare of local communities.

•Women-led Growth: Supporting women entrepreneurs and advancing gender equity initiatives.

•Tourism & Heritage: Enhancing eco-tourism and cultural tourism through targeted infrastructure development.

•Urban Development: Progressing towards smart cities and sustainable urbanization models.

•Climate Resilience: Enhancing disaster preparedness and adopting renewable energy solutions.

These insights will form the foundation for Odisha's long-term strategy for sustainable development and economic growth, ensuring the state’s progress aligns with the aspirations of its people.
