Odisha suspends official leaves until June 30 amidst transition

Bhubaneswar, June 11: The Odisha government has made an announcement regarding the cancellation of leave for all government officials until June 30.
This decision was conveyed through a letter from the General Administration & Public Grievances Department to various authorities within the government, including Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioner-cum-Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Collectors, and District Magistrates.
The letter emphasizes that government officials are not permitted to take leave or leave their headquarters, except for health reasons, until June 30, 2024. This directive comes in light of the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of the new Council of Ministers on June 12, 2024, and the subsequent activities expected to occur at various government levels.
The purpose behind this decision is to ensure that all government officials remain present at their respective headquarters to address any urgent assignments that may arise during this period.
