Heavy rainfall expected across Odisha for next five days
Bhubaneswar, July 30: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to continue across several parts of Odisha for the next five days due to the anticipated formation of a new weather system over the Bay of Bengal. According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, rainfall intensity is expected to increase as the new system develops, which is projected to take shape by Wednesday.
In its midday bulletin, the Meteorological Centre issued a yellow warning for 19 districts, forecasting heavy to very heavy rain in these areas over the next 24 hours.
Specifically, heavy to very heavy rainfall (ranging from 7 to 20 cm) may affect isolated areas in Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, and Cuttack. Additionally, heavy rainfall (ranging from 7 to 11 cm) is anticipated in parts of Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Khurda, Nayagarh, Puri, Deogarh, Boudh, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
