Over 4,000 students graduate from Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed University in series of ceremonies
Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: Over 4,000 students from nine different institutions of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, were conferred their degrees in a series of graduation ceremonies held over the last three weeks.
The final ceremony was held on Wednesday for the SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL), graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda along with other senior officials. The event was also attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Anup Kumar Samantaray, Controller of Examinations Prof. Manjula Das, Dean of SNIL Prof. S.A.K. Azad, Dean (Students’ Welfare) Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, and several senior faculty members.
Earlier ceremonies were conducted separately for the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS), Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital (IMS & SUM), Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS), Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), School of Hotel Management (SHM), SUM Nursing College (SNC), and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS).
Notable guests included Prof. P.K. Roul, Vice-Chancellor of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology at IAS, Thirunavukkarasu Palaniappan from Wipro, Vikash Panigrahi from Deloitte, Satish Pradhan from Cognizant, and Dr. P.B. Kotur from L&T Technology Services at ITER.
Special guests at other ceremonies included Prof. Chandi Prasad Nanda and Ashirbad Praharaj for IBCS and SHM, and Dr. Rajalaxmi Mishra for SNC.
The events were attended by key university officials including Pro-Vice Chancellors, Deans, and Directors from all constituent institutions, celebrating the academic achievements of the graduating students.
