Nadda urges BJP workers to shape Odisha’s future at Puri meeting
Bhubaneswar, July 19: On Friday, BJP National President JP Nadda emphasized the party’s commitment to driving development in Odisha during the inauguration of the state BJP’s first executive committee meeting in Puri, following the party's victory in the state.
Addressing the assembly, Nadda expressed his deep appreciation for the party workers' efforts, stating, “Words cannot fully capture my admiration for the dedication of our workers who helped the lotus bloom here. With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, we are determined to serve the people of Odisha to the best of our ability. I also extend my gratitude to the people of Odisha for their support.”
Reflecting on past achievements, Nadda recalled advising Manmohan Samal to increase the number of Lok Sabha seats. “You achieved an impressive result by winning 20 out of 21 seats, contributing to the formation of the central government. With a 45 percent vote share in the Lok Sabha, your support has played a crucial role in securing Narendra Modi's third term as Prime Minister. The NDA governs in 18 states, with the BJP leading in 13. The BJP now administers 58 percent of the country’s land area and represents 57 percent of its population.”
Nadda also critiqued the Congress party, likening it to a parasitic plant that undermines its allies. “Congress not only benefits from the votes of its partners but also diminishes their strength. Given that the people of Odisha have empowered you, I urge you to commit to transforming the state’s future and image,” he told the BJP workers.
