Man jumps to death from OYO after failed relationship in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Dec 15: A tragic incident unfolded in Bhubaneswar on Sunday as a young man reportedly took his own life by jumping from the roof of an OYO accommodation in the Bharatpur area. The deceased, identified as Deepak Nayak from Nayagarh district, is believed to have been distraught over an unrequited love affair.

According to police sources, Deepak was deeply in love with a dancer and had repeatedly expressed his feelings to her. However, the woman did not reciprocate his affection. Determined to communicate his emotions in person, Deepak traveled to Bhubaneswar to meet her. Unfortunately, the girl allegedly refused to meet him, leaving him disheartened.

In a state of extreme frustration and despair, Deepak reportedly jumped from the roof of the accommodation where he was staying, resulting in his instant death.

Upon being alerted, officers from the Bharatpur police station arrived at the scene. The body was sent for post-mortem, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has been initiated. The case has raised concerns about the importance of mental health support and emotional well-being.
