ITER celebrates success as No. 1 engineering institute in eastern India at Jharkhand Awards

Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: The Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), part of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA), has been recognized as the top engineering institute in eastern India at the Times Business Awards-Jharkhand 2025.
The prestigious event took place in Ranchi on January 17 and celebrated exceptional achievements across 36 categories, including education. The awards were presented by Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who graced the occasion.
During the event, ITER was highlighted as an institute committed to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy against ragging on campus. The university enforces strict measures against any proven incidents of ragging, including expulsion, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for its students.
Prof. Prasanta Kumar Patra, Dean of Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy at SOA, proudly accepted the award on behalf of ITER. The ceremony also featured notable guests, including senior IAS officer Utkarsh Kumar, journalist Balbir Dutt, environmentalist Kaushal Kishore Jaiswal, Executive Director Nandini Gupta, and Radisson Blu General Manager Hemant Mehta, who contributed to the celebration of excellence in education and other fields.
