New Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries to get financial aid on March 8, announces Odisha Government

Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: The Odisha Government has announced that newly approved beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana will receive financial assistance on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day. According to official sources, the new recipients will receive two installments together as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to empower women through direct financial support.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed that all necessary administrative and technical preparations have been completed to ensure a smooth and transparent disbursement process. Launching the revamped Subhadra Yojana online portal on Saturday, she said eligible women can now apply directly through the platform.

Parida added, “From today till April 2026, women who turn 21 during this period will also be eligible to apply. Those who missed applying earlier can now register. However, applicants declared ineligible in previous two surveys should refrain from reapplying.”

The application window will remain open for one month, with the possibility of an extension. The government aims to make the scheme more inclusive and accessible, ensuring financial independence and social empowerment for women across Odisha.
