Dry weather continues in Odisha, night temperatures set to fall by 2-4°C

Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a drop of 2-4°C in the night temperatures across Odisha over the next 4-5 days, as the state continues to experience dry weather conditions.

The IMD’s extended weather outlook for the period of November 15-21 indicates that minimum temperatures will range between 18°C and 20°C in parts of coastal Odisha and southern districts, while areas along the rest of the coastal region, adjoining districts, and some parts of interior Odisha will see temperatures between 16°C and 18°C. The remaining areas of the state will experience night temperatures between 12°C and 16°C.

Looking ahead to November 22-28, the night temperatures are expected to hover between 16°C and 18°C in coastal and southern regions, and between 10°C and 14°C in the remaining parts of the state. Temperatures in certain coastal pockets are expected to remain normal, while other areas may see below-average temperatures.

In the last 24 hours, G. Udayagiri recorded the lowest temperature at 12°C, followed by Rourkela at 13.9°C. Cuttack and Bhubaneswar saw higher than usual temperatures of 19.2°C and 20°C, respectively.
