Bhubaneswar, May 14: The flagship training programme of the #ମୋଓଡିଶାକାହାଣୀ (#MoOdishaStory) campaign concluded in Puri after a six-day intensive workshop aimed at empowering local artisans and digital creators to tell Odisha’s stories in their own voices.
Organised by Pluc.TV in partnership with community creators associated with Sampark Organisation, the initiative brought together 100 digital creators and 100 artisans from across Odisha.
The programme focused on training participants in digital storytelling, content creation, and social media communication to help them showcase Odisha’s culture, crafts, livelihoods, and transformation to a global audience.
The campaign encouraged artisans to document and narrate their own experiences rather than relying on outsiders to represent them. Participants learned to create engaging content for platforms like Instagram and YouTube using storytelling rooted in local traditions and everyday realities.
Speakers at the event highlighted Odisha’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. Santosh Kumar Sethi, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Puri, said Odisha’s art, literature, and entrepreneurship should reach audiences beyond the state through positive narratives.
Retired bureaucrat Padmanav Panda described storytellers as “torchbearers” of Odisha’s hidden treasures, including art, architecture, cuisine, textiles, and tourism.
The campaign also highlighted Odisha’s rapid development in sectors like renewable energy, employment, and infrastructure while stressing the importance of preserving traditional art forms. Organisers said the initiative would provide artists with greater visibility, recognition, and opportunities for growth.
