Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: The Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) has invited applications for the 22nd edition of the Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education (PGDS) 2026-27, aimed at supporting meritorious students from Odisha pursuing professional higher education.
The scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing degree programmes in Engineering, Medicine, STEM and Liberal Arts. Selected scholars can receive financial support covering up to 90 per cent of academic fees and eligible expenses, with assistance of up to Rs 6 lakh per recipient for a four-year course.
Instituted in 2005 by IMFA and named after renowned historian Late Professor Ghanashyam Dash, father of Late Mrs Ila Panda, the scholarship seeks to make higher education more accessible to talented students and enable them to pursue their academic and career aspirations. Since 2016, BIPF has continued the scholarship programme as part of its efforts to promote educational opportunities for deserving students.
Over the years, PGDS scholars have secured admission to several premier institutions across the country, including AIIMS, IITs, IIITs, NITs, SCB Medical College and other leading medical and engineering institutions.
The initiative also extends beyond financial assistance through Utsaah, a structured mentorship programme designed to support scholars in academic excellence, career guidance, time management, mental well-being, life skills, leadership and communication.
Students domiciled in Odisha who have qualified NEET, JEE, JEE Advanced or CUET in 2026 can check the detailed eligibility criteria and submit their applications through www.bipf.org.in.
