Odisha Government to review Subhadra Yojana exclusion list, assures Deputy CM Pravati Parida
Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: The Odisha government will conduct a detailed review of the list of women excluded from the Subhadra Yojana to ensure that no genuine beneficiary is left out, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Women & Child Development Pravati Parida announced on Tuesday. A high-level review meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday to address the concerns.
Speaking to reporters, Parida emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting the interests of eligible women. “From the very beginning, we have maintained that original beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana will not be excluded.
Once we receive verified reports, those who have been left out will be included through a revised process. Inputs from different departments will be examined, and a final decision will be taken tomorrow. The outcome will be shared with the media,” she said.
The Women and Child Development Department has already sought clarifications from three departments—Commerce and Transport on women owning four-wheelers, Health on deceased beneficiaries, and Food Supplies on landholdings of women who sold rice. The reports will guide the government in finalizing an accurate and transparent beneficiary list.
