CM Majhi presents one-year report card, highlights fulfilled promises and future roadmap

Bhubaneswar, June 10: Marking nearly one year in office for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday presented a comprehensive report card detailing his administration's achievements and outlining its future development roadmap.

Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister affirmed that his government swiftly initiated concrete steps to fulfill the promises enshrined in the 'Sankalp Patra' (election manifesto) immediately after assuming power a year ago.

Majhi proudly stated that over 11 of the 21 key promises made during the last elections have already been realized within the first 12 months. "We have not simply governed, we have fulfilled the hopes of the people. Whatever we promised, we have delivered,” he asserted, underscoring the government's commitment to its electoral pledges.

Chief Minister Majhi also expressed profound gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose consistent affection for Odisha, he noted, continues to energize and motivate the state government. He announced that the Prime Minister is slated to visit Odisha again on June 20, a visit expected to further bolster Centre-State coordination.

Highlighting some of the government's flagship initiatives, Majhi recalled the four landmark decisions made by the state cabinet on June 12 last year, which he said set the tone for people-centric governance.

These included the immediate opening of all four gates of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri for devotees, the launch of the 'Subhadra Yojana' aimed at women's empowerment, the establishment of a Rs 500 crore corpus fund for the comprehensive development of the Jagannath Temple, and the crucial decision to provide an Rs 800 bonus per quintal for paddy to farmers.
