Bhubaneswar, April 15: In a significant administrative move, the Odisha Government has approved the creation of 72 new posts for the Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission to strengthen its institutional capacity and improve operational efficiency.
According to an official communication issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, the proposal has received the approval of the Governor of Odisha. The decision was conveyed by Debabrata Mallick, Additional Secretary to the Government, in a letter addressed to the Accountant General (A&E), Odisha.
The newly created posts span various administrative levels, including one Secretary and one Additional Secretary, two Joint Secretaries, three Deputy Secretaries, and three Under Secretaries. In addition, several supporting positions such as Accounts Officer, Desk Officer, Private Secretary, and Section Officer have also been sanctioned.
Officials said the posts will be filled from different state service cadres like the Odisha Administrative Service and Odisha Finance Service, among others. The pay structure for these positions will be governed by the ORSP Rules, 2017, ensuring standardised compensation as per state norms.
