Bhubaneswar, April 15: The Odisha government will take a final call on extending the application deadline for the Subhadra Yojana after reviewing the overall response on April 30, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Tuesday.
Addressing mediapersons, Parida acknowledged that the number of applications received so far is significantly lower than expected. The scheme is aimed at providing benefits to eligible women, particularly those who have attained 21 years of age as of April 1, 2026. The current deadline for submission of applications is April 30.
She informed that the government has made provisions to address technical issues faced by applicants. “If technical difficulties arise anywhere, instructions have been issued to allow an additional five days for eligible beneficiaries to submit their applications,” she said.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to inclusivity, Parida stressed that efforts are being made to ensure no eligible beneficiary is left out. However, she clarified that the decision to extend or close the application window will depend on the findings of the review meeting scheduled at the end of the month.
