Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: President of India Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a five-day visit to Odisha beginning February 2, during which she will attend a series of academic, religious and official programmes across multiple districts of the state.
According to official sources, the President will arrive in Bhubaneswar on February 2 and proceed to Balasore the following day to attend the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University. She will deliver the valedictory address at the event, which will be held at the university’s newly developed campus at Remuna Nuapadhi. The convocation is expected to witness the presence of senior state officials, academicians and graduating students.
On February 4, President Murmu will travel to Jajpur district, where she is scheduled to participate in various programmes and offer prayers at the revered Maa Biraja temple, one of the prominent Shakti peeths of Odisha.
The President will then visit Mayurbhanj district on February 5 and 6, where she will attend several events in Rairangpur and interact with local communities. After completing her engagements in Odisha, President Murmu will return to Bhubaneswar before proceeding to Chhattisgarh, concluding her official visit to the state.
