Bhubaneswar, April 2: The Board of Secondary Education Odisha will declare the High School Certificate (HSC) examination results in the first or second week of May, informed BSE President Srikant Tarai on Thursday.
Tarai stated that the evaluation of answer sheets is being conducted smoothly without any errors or disputes and is expected to be completed shortly. So far, the evaluation process has already been completed in four districts. Once the results are announced, students will be able to receive their mark sheets and certificates immediately. Those who do not pass in one or more subjects will be given an opportunity to appear for supplementary examinations.
The HSC examinations were conducted from February 19 to March 2, along with Madhyama and Open School exams. Authorities ensured strict monitoring to maintain discipline and prevent malpractice. Special squads carried out surprise inspections, while all centres were placed under CCTV surveillance with live monitoring from a central control room.
A total of 51 evaluation centres were set up across the state, involving around 15,000 examiners. Out of 5,46,876 registered students, 5,36,946 appeared for the exams, recording an absentee rate of 1.81 per cent.
