Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: A fire incident at Nilapadma Apartment in the Jharpada area of Bhubaneswar on Thursday left four persons injured and triggered panic among residents. The blaze is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in an air conditioner.
According to preliminary reports, thick smoke was seen billowing from Flat No. 203, where a couple resided. Alert neighbours noticed the smoke and immediately informed the Fire Services department. Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and launched an emergency operation, successfully dousing the flames before they could spread to other parts of the apartment building.
