Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has announced that the valuation of Class X (Matric) examination answer sheets will commence on March 19 and is scheduled to conclude by April 2. The board has put in place elaborate arrangements to ensure a smooth, transparent, and error-free evaluation process.
According to official sources, the assessment will be conducted at 50 evaluation centres spread across 30 districts of the state. Among these, 47 centres have been designated exclusively for matric answer sheet valuation, two for the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examinations, and one for Sanskrit Madhyama papers.
To maintain confidentiality and fairness, the board has deployed special teams to discreetly transport answer scripts from nodal centres to evaluation hubs. The entire process is being carried out under strict supervision.
Teachers and examiners assigned to the duty have been instructed to report to their respective centres from March 18. Each evaluator will check 25 to 30 answer sheets per day. More than 12,000 teachers have been engaged for this large-scale exercise. District Education Officers have also been directed to appoint four data entry operators at each centre, along with chief and deputy examiners to supervise the process.
