Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has announced that the evaluation of answer sheets for the recently concluded High School Certificate (HSC) examinations will commence from Thursday across the state.
According to official sources, around 15,000 teachers have been assigned evaluation duties at 52 centres set up in different districts. The Board has also issued formal instructions to all District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure smooth coordination and timely completion of the process.
The HSC examinations, which concluded on March 2, saw the participation of over 5.46 lakh students across 3,082 examination centres. To maintain transparency and curb malpractice, all centres were equipped with CCTV surveillance systems.
As per the Board’s schedule, the evaluation process will be completed within 15 days, with April 2 set as the deadline. Chief Examiners, Deputy Chief Examiners, Assistant Inspectors and other staff have been directed to remain vigilant and adhere strictly to guidelines. Evaluators must report to centres by 10 am daily, while camp officials are required to arrive by 9:30 am.
To ensure efficiency and accountability, the Board will monitor the evaluation process in real time through its centralized Command Control System, overseeing activities from a dedicated control room.
