PM Narendra Modi likely to attend DGP conference in Bhubaneswar from Nov 29
Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the three-day all-India conference of Directors General of Police (DGP) scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 29.
The conference, set to take place at the convention centre of the Lok Seva Bhawan, will also see the participation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, as confirmed by Odisha DGP Y B Khurania.
In addition to the DGPs from all states, the event will be attended by key security officials, including the DGs of CRPF, RAW, NSA, and SPG. The conference will conclude on December 1 after discussions on crucial security matters. Key topics on the agenda include cyber fraud, the challenges posed by AI technologies, the growing threat of drones, and counter-terrorism measures.
The conference will also cover other important issues, such as cybercrime, technology in policing, Left Wing Extremism (LWE), prison reforms, and emerging trends in internal security.
