One-day extension for annual flower show at RPRC
Bhubaneswar, Jan 11: The Annual Flower Show 2025 at the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) in Ekamra Kanan, Bhubaneswar, has been extended by one day, as announced by Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Minister Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia on Saturday. \
The extension comes in response to the overwhelming enthusiasm from visitors, prompting the state government to keep the exhibition open for an additional day.
Originally inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on January 7, the flower show was set to conclude on January 11. Now, it will continue until January 12, providing more opportunities for the public to explore the floral displays.
Featuring stalls from 70 agencies across Odisha, the exhibition showcases approximately 500 varieties of flowers, including roses, marigolds, dahlias, zinnias, and ferns. Attendees can enjoy an array of cut flowers, bonsai, orchids, and themed gardens. The event also includes cultural performances, featuring Odissi, Chhau, Sambalpuri, and Paika dances. Additionally, new attractions such as a gate complex, a multi-colored garden, and a cactus house have been inaugurated this year.
