Dense fog expected to affect Odisha for the next two days
Bhubaneswar, Feb 1: Dense fog has significantly impacted daily life across various regions in Odisha over the past few days and is expected to continue affecting several areas for the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In its latest weather bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar noted that there would be no significant changes in the minimum temperatures (night temperatures) in the state over the next four to five days.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for dense fog affecting several districts over the next two days. Areas such as Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Keonjhar, Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Kandhamal are likely to experience dense fog until Sunday morning.
Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is anticipated during early morning hours in these districts, as well as in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Sonepur. The IMD predicts the possibility of dense fog in parts of Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam, and Gajapati on Monday morning.
Residents are urged to exercise caution while traveling during early morning hours due to the reduced visibility conditions.
